California

We just got home from California! We had so much fun! We left last Saturday and came home today. We went with the Webb's and the McMillans. Every time we all go has a family, Dad rents a house so that we can all be together. It is way nice because we get a private pool and lots of room! Kenedy rode an airplane for the first time and did really well. I brought the biggest bag of stuff for her to do on the plane ride so that she wouldn't drive the whole plane crazy and she fell asleep the minute the pilot started the plane's engines! Sunday we attended church with The Gibson family and hung out at their home. It is so fun to see family that you don't get to see often! Monday we headed to the happiest place on Earth! However, it seemed that the rest of California did too! It was so crowded! We rode maybe five rides all day and did not see any characters! I had the autograph book all ready and we did not get a single autograph! So we headed to California Adventure Land which was half as busy and had a blast! Tuesday and Wednesday we hung out by the pool, played games, read books, and ate too much! I'm going to be working this vacation off for the next month! Thursday we headed back to Disney Land and were very happy to see that it wasn't as crazy! We got to ride several more rides and see some of the characters! However, I forgot the autograph book this time! So we left Disney Land with no autographs! Like Kenedy really cares! I just wanted them for her scrapbook, but I'm sure we will make several trips to Disney Land in the upcoming years and she will have more than enough autographs! Friday we attended our cousin Rob's wedding at the Newport Beach Temple. The temple was beautiful! The bride looked like Cinderella and Rob looked very handsome! After sitting in long traffic with a full bladder and a family laughing hysterically, we arrived at the reception which was a Luau. It was a lot of fun. The food was good and the entertainment was terrific! They sure throw more entertaining weddings in California than we do in Utah. Saturday morning we woke up at 4:00 am to get to the airport and took off for home. Kenedy did not fall asleep until the plane landed in SLC this time! However, she did pretty well on the flight! She kept the people behind us entertained. We had so much fun and were sad to leave, but we were really glad to be back to our home. Kenedy slept for 5 hours when we got home and then went back to bed for the night 3 hours later. I think she missed her bed the most! Thanks for the fun trip Mom and Dad, it was a blast!
