The Bird family had their family reunion in Island park. We went to Yellowstone, went fishing, played games, roasted marshmallows, went hiking, Laughed, stayed up late, ate way too much, and enjoyed spending time together.

The kids love Lagoon. We visited Lagoon several times this summer and they never get sick of it! The kids especially love running through the fountains before we go home. Kenedy's favorite ride at Lagoon is Dumbo (so we call it), Lincoln's favorite is the Ladybug Drop, Romnee's favorite is being carried around by mom!

Kenedy had her first soccer season. She had a lot of fun. These photos make it look like she was quite the soccer player. Which of course as Kenedy's mother I agree with the pictures. However, on a more realistic note, lets just say Mike got some REALLY good pictures. Kenedy had fun being on a team, but her favorite part was posing for the camera and hanging out with us on the sidelines. It was fun to listen how seriously she took being on a team and listening to her coach. We missed one game because she fell asleep right before it started and I was not in the mood to fight. when she woke up and found out she missed the game, she said, "Mom, coach Mike is going to be so mad at me. You have to call him and tell him it was your fault for not waking me up!" She was really upset with me! ha ha.

For the Webb family reunion, we headed up to Bear Lake for almost a week. We had a ton of fun at the beach, boating, playing in the sand, hiking, eating, playing games until all hours of the night, swimming, laughing, and relaxing together.

Our sweet friend Michelle took us to ride her horses. We had so much fun! Thanks Michelle

Blessing

July 4, 2010
Romnee Emma Bird
Blessed with love
by Michael Charles Bird

Mike did a great job blessing Romnee. This is the first blessing we have done that was at church. It was a good experience and I am glad that we got to share the blessing with our ward. Romnee looked beautiful in white and was such a good baby through the entire blessing.

The "after party" was alot of fun also. It was fun to have both sides of the family together for the 4th of July.

Could she get any cuter

Temple

What an amazing day! We headed to the Ogden Temple with our sweet family on July 17th. Alot of amazing things happened that day and it started with us being on time! That doe I love sitting in the sealing room with my sweet husband as the temple workers bring my precious children all dressed in white into the room. I cannot help but burst into tears when I see their sweet little faces. I love them more than they will ever know!! These moments are some of the most spiritual and peaceful moments that Mike and I have experienced in our life.

Romnee was an angel. She did not cry or make a peep. She was just so peaceful. She looked at the worker when he said her name like she knew what was happening. I think she probably knows more than I give her credit for. She was exhausted by the time we left the temple. She still did not fuss, she just fell asleep while we were walking to take pictures. She is such a miracle baby!

Lincoln and Kenedy were also angels. The children can feel the peace and they know how important this sealing is. You can see what they know through their actions. It is amazing. My children are not the most referent children, but from all three sealings, you would think I was telling tales. Their reference testifies the importance of the temple even more to me. I wish we could just stay in that room forever!

We are extremely blessed with great family and friends! We appreciate all of those who were able share this day with us .

The day ended with a family and friend gathering at the Pizza Factory and then a family swim at Brady's pool.

Swimming

This summer Brady lived with some friends in a condo that had a pool. We swam there two or three times a week. My children are fish. They cried every time we had to go. Romnee slept most of the time so I got to just play in the water with kids. Kenedy did alot better with swimming without floaties by the end of the summer. It sure helps when you have a place to practice every other day! Lincoln also got very comfortable with the water. Sometimes too comfortable! We are going to miss that pool next year!

Swimming lessons

Kenedy completed level 3 at swim lessons this summer. However, I think we will retake this class a few times. She was really scared and did not want to let go of her teacher. She did well and loves the water, but would rather have floaties on her arms.

2010 New York

Seamless Web took us to New York for the annual company party. This year we, saw Mary Poppins on Broadway, shopped 5th avenue, and walked the Brooklyn Bridge. It is tons of fun to take off for a couple of days with just my honey.

June

The day after we returned from California, Kenedy had her dance recital. This year we took dance with a bunch of Kenedy's little friends. Kenedy loved going to dance each week to see all her friends. The girls have all grown so much this year. It is fun to watch, but saddens me a little to see how fast time flies. They did a fabulous job on their recital and they all looked adorable!

Romnee is officially ours! This adoption has been so much easier than the last one! The day was a little rough to start, but ended up fabulous! I had a break down the day before about being late to everything, so Mike and I decided we were not going to be late. We were suppose to be there at ten we got up at 6:30. We got everyone ready and were out the door in plenty of time. We headed to the courthouse, proud of ourselves for being on time. We arrived at the courthouse in Farmington to find out that we were actually suppose to be at the Bountiful courthouse. I lost it! I cried the enitre way to Bountiful. Luckily we were only ten minutes late because we had left early. I composed myself and realized that it really didn't matter what time we arrived as long as we were able to adopt Romnee. The legal proceedings went well. Some of the questions made me laugh and others made me cry! I am so grateful for this opportunity. All the people at the courthouse were so sweet! The Judge was the nicest. They all made the day so special. On top of all those sweet people, we had the greatest people with as well: Our Family! We are so grateful to everyone who was able to come; it means a lot to us! We are also so grateful to have Romnee be ours!! After court we headed over to El Madador (there are good things about court being held in Bountiful vs. Farmington) for some lunch and then to Bratz for a little blessing dress shopping. We found a gorgeous dress! It made us so excited for the temple! After shopping we took the kids to the pool to have a little family fun! It turned out to be a fabulous day!

California

The kids did awesome in the car! We broke up the trip by driving to St. George staying over and then heading the rest of the way home. We left Friday, June 11th and reached Anaheim on Saturday the 12th. We started the trek home on the 19th and finished up on the 20th. We had a ton of fun! Kenedy was a little sad on the way home. She cried and said, "I do not want to go home because then everyone has to go back to work. I just want to be with my family!" What a cutie! Before long she will be dying to go home so she can get away from her family and hang out with her friends. I am not looking forward to that.
On Sunday, we went and visited Mike's brother Scott that lives in L.A. (They have just moved to Utah and we could not be more excited). We attended church with him and Kaylie and then headed over to their house to see our newest nephew. He is a doll! Kenedy and Lincoln loved playing with Kaylie and holding Gavin. What a cute little family Scott and Julie have.

I have little fish for kids. They would stay in the pool all day and all night if I let them. We usually got a little swimming in before or after Disneyland.

We spent one day at the beach and then headed to Disneyland. The kids played in the sand and water and collected shells. we rented one of those six man bikes; it was a blast. Kenedy and Lincoln sat in the basket in the front and rang the bell non-stop while the rest of us pedaled our little hearts out.

On the way home from California. We stopped in Cedar City to see one of our favorite people. It was so much fun to spend a few hours with Vonnie and her adorable kiddos. We love her so much and are so grateful for her amazing sacrifice. We do not know what we would do without our little Roman Noodles!

Disneyland

We got Five for the price of three day Hoppers to Disneyland and California Adventure. I love Disneyland, but five days is a bit much for me. So since it was just our little family and Grandma and Grandpa, we got to call the shots. Some days we would sleep in, go swimming and then head to Disneyland. Other days we would go to Disneyland early and then come home early. The last day we did do the whole go early and leave late. One day of that was enough for me and the kiddos. We had a ton of fun with our little family

Star Struck

This is the best thing about Disneyland! Kenedy loved getting her book signed and shaking hands with her favorite characters! Lincoln got excited to see them and loved waiving at them, but he did not want to be touched. The only way I could get him to get a picture was if I stood there with him.

Kenedy was in Heaven! We spent about 1/3 of our time at the Princess Fantasy Faire. We talked with the Princesses, got our pictures taken, went to the Royal Ball, Listened to a couple of the princesses read stories, and sat and watched the princesses coming and going. You might think, "Poor Lincoln", Don't. He loved them also. He even stood by them to get his picture taken without me!

Ariel is Kenedy's favorite Princess. When she saw her, she touched her head and fell to the ground. She said, "Mom, I just fainted because I can't believe she is really here!" She asked Ariel all kinds of questions and Ariel was so cute with her answers. I love when the characters really play theirs parts!

May

I love Spring nights! Especially this year! I loved how it did not get super hot for the longest time. I wish ever spring lasted this long. Mike is such a great daddy! I love to watch him play with the kids especially when he doesn't know I am looking. The kids love him so much. I wish I got the welcome home he gets everyday from the kids.

Kenedy had her Joy school graduation. It was so much fun watching the kids perform their songs and poems that they learned throughout the year. I can not believe how much they grew this year. My little lady is getting way too big way too fast! Stop her please!

Mike was working late so we headed up to see Thomas the Train in Heber City. Kenedy and Lincoln loved it! It was super windy so Romnee was not the biggest fan. Maybe next year.
