A Little Behind

This is what we have been up to in the last two months!

Kenedy had her last day of dance and her little review! She is the cutest little lady! I loved watching her perform!

Lincoln is Walking! He has been working on this for the last couple of months and on May 11th he decided the time had come to give up crawling and start walking! He always has a bump, bruise or a scrape somewhere on his sweet little face and head. You know what they say, "NO PAIN, NO GAIN!" I can't decide how I feel about this! Sad: He is growing way too fast! Happy: that my 25lb little man can carry himself! Scared: Now I have two that can run from me!

We got our season passes and headed to Lagoon on a Saturday when it was pouring rain. It was a little cold, but there were no crowds. I guess everyone else decided to be smart and stay out of the rain. Kenedy and Lincoln could have cared less about they rain, they love being outside and they love LAGOON!

These two little monkeys would sleep outside if we would let them! They are already a nice shade of brown and it is only May. The other day, while Kenedy was in the bath, she said, "Oh no! Why am I going brown?" I told her how the sun had kissed her skin. I get heat rashes from being out in the sun. I was explaining why my arms were all bumpy and she said, "I'm not playing with the sun anymore! It gives me burns and you scratches!" She only stayed mad at the sun for a few minutes and then she was off playing again! What a silly little lady! I love working in the yard, during spring and summer nights! I especially love the spring time when the grass is so green, the new mulch is dark brown, and the trees have cute little flowers on them! This year we planted our garden and my favorite thing about it is that my weed garden is gone! YEAH!

April was busy, busy! That is the reason I am so far behind on posting! We have AJ's birthday on the 7th, Lincoln's on the 8th, Brady's on the 10th, and Mike's on the 12th . This year Mike's birthday was on Easter so he got his presents in a basket and a cake that looked like a bunny. He was a good sport about sharing his birthday with all the Easter festivities. I love you honey!! I want you to know that I think you are the best daddy and the greatest hubby!

We had three Easter Egg hunts on Easter. One at home, one at Grandma Bird's house, and one at Grandma Webb's house! The kids were in heaven. Lincoln thought the eggs were balls. He loved banging them together and saying ball over and over. Kenedy raced around as fast as she could gathering all her eggs. When we were doing our hunt at home, she would put some in her basket and then bring some over to Lincoln. I thought it was so sweet how she made sure that Lincoln got some too. When we dumped out there baskets, Kenedy had all the pink and purple eggs and Lincoln had all the blue and green ones. I was amazed! When I asked Kenedy about the eggs, she told me, "Pink and purple are for girls, and blue and green are for boys! I am a girl and Lincoln is a boy!" WOW, is all I could think! They figure things out quick, don't they!
Our eggs this year were quite unique! I think each one got dipped in each color! Kenedy loved dipping and coming up with some very creative colors! By the end we were not sure what got more color: Kenedy or the eggs!
*For a quick court update: We attended the appeal on May 11th and are currently waiting for the judge's decision! We will keep you all posted when we hear something!

Kenedy at 3

Weight: 33 lbs. 50%
Height: 36 inches 35%

Loves: Macaroni and cheese, pink, icecream, chicken and rice, friends, Little Einsteins, Disney princesses, dressing-up, reading books, playing with puzzles, riding her bike, going on walks, jumping on the trampoline, dogs, babies, cooking, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Disneyland, swinging, playing in the water, her daddy, painting her nails, Trace, painting, dolls, Lagoon, Cheetos, pink milk, dancing, singing, ranch, ketchup, any dip, being the center of attention, being just like mom and dad, cuddling, giving kisses, talking on the phone, TALKING, brushing her teeth, washing her hands, taking baths
Hates:Going to bed, time out, not getting her own way, when her friends can't play, baby food, spiders, monsters, when daddy goes to work, being ignored, dirty hands, when friends have to go home, being confined

Kenedy at Three:her nickname is Houdini. She can get anything she wants and get out of anything she doesn't want to be in. She is VERY independent. She not only opens doors, but she can unlock them; even if they are locked from the other side. She has figured out how to turn the locks from the outside (not the front door of course. Just the bathroom and bedroom doors). She can count to 15 and can say her ABC's. She knows almost every letter sound and can identify most of them. She knows all the rainbow colors and a few shapes (star, heart, circle, triangle, and square). She is extremely dramatic! She is a sweet little girl and a great friend.

Favorite phrases (Things Kenedy says on a daily/weekly basis): "Mom, will you blow-up this?" (when she needs her food to be cooled down), "Mom is hers coming to my house?", "I Love You! (this is of course my favorite. She will come up to you, out of nowhere, throw her arms around your neck and proclaim her love!), "I'm not Happy!" (with her hands on her hips after she gets in trouble.), "You are the best mom EVER!" (love this one also), "Fine, I'm not playing with you!" (She puts such attitude to her little phrases, it is hard not to laugh!), "Talk to me!" (I always get this phrase when I am zoning out), "WHY?" (1,000 times a day), "Please and Thank You", "I Can do it all by myself!", "Nook mom!" (AKA look)

This little lady has grown way too fast! She is the funniest, craziest, and sweetest little girl I know! Our lives would be so boring without her. Our house may stay cleaner and our minds wouldn't be as crazy, but our lives would not be filled with the laughter, love, and joy that this little girl brings! We love our K-bug!
